We are always open for new members and we currently have vacancies for the following instruments.
- Violins 1sts and 2nds
- Bassoon
Players will need to be able to confident reading music, the rehearsal pace is, however, not as intensive as some amateur orchestras.
We rehearse every Wednesday during term time from 7pm-9pm with a break for a cup of tea and a biscuit in the middle! At the end of each term we hold a performance, raising money for a nominated charity at each event.
As a learning orchestra, we don't hold auditions - if you play one of the instruments on our vacancy list, please
contact us to arrange a taster session. If we don't currently have vacancies for your instrument please get in touch and we can add you to our waiting list.
As a charity with no external funding we ask for a contribution of £75 per term. We would always appreciate additional charitable donations. Please contact us if you'd like to make a donation or to discuss available fee support.
